This enquiry explores the experiences of the children who were transported to Britain between 1938-40 as part of the ‘Kindertransport’.
It uses the diaries of Paul Kuttner (one of the Kindertransport children) to find out more about the refugees’ experiences.
Then it introduces a set of additional clues to help confirm students’ understanding of how the Kindertransport worked.
Students finish the enquiry by completing a valuable re-cap activity, in which they are challenged to use a series of images to ‘tell the story’ of Jewish migrants in Britain from the medieval period to the 20th century.
