This lesson exemplifies our approach to enquiry . It fits neatly into any Scheme of Work on the Causes of WWII and will work equally well on younger secondary students as it will on the GCSE course for which it was originally written.
The lesson uses the hook of a “broken” film clip to encourage students to use real source evidence in order to explore the details and decisions of what became the Nazi-Soviet Pact.
It was designed as an antidote to what can a rather dry topic tacked on to the end of a Causes of WWII unit.
