History Resource Cupboard - lessons and resources for schools

Who did and who didn’t share in the US economic boom?

boomThis lesson fits neatly into any Scheme of Work on  America in the 1920’s. The lesson offers an overview of wealth, poverty and prejudice in 1920’s America by introducing students to a series of historical characters.

The main thrust of the lesson is via a scripted role play in which the teacher reads a script while selected students contribute the roles of characters from American history. We would recommend teaching this lesson after students are familiar with the causes of the US economic boom.
